Movement and care for every body.

Inclusive personal training and massage therapy in Catskill, New York—grounded in accessibility, autonomy, and respect for the body you have today.

Reclaiming Fitness creates a safe space by prioritizing inclusivity and accessibility. In a world where the culturally constructed body archetype breeds a lack of visibility for many, Reclaiming Fitness challenges traditional goals of the fitness realm.

It’s crucial to reclaim the right to utilize and care for our bodies in the way that we wish.

What you can expect:

❋ Kindness and clarity

Communication is open, honest, direct and considerate. There is mutual respect for all parties involved.

❋ Non-judgement

We will not discuss other folks’ bodies and appearance — be it their shape, size, race, gender presentation, or style.

❋ Body neutrality

When we talk about our bodies, we will try our best to avoid negative and judgmental words. We refer to our bodies with gentleness, acceptance, and if it’s available, love.

❋ Focused collaboration

This work is a two-way street. The bulk of our communication is centered around the physical work taking place, and what it brings up for us. We agree to remain curious about our work together (both training and massage therapy) and share all discoveries, questions and reflections when appropriate.

  • "Lindsey listened to my needs and concerns about my body and gave me a massage that not only felt amazing, but eased my tension and pain. As a curvy/queer babe, it is such a relief to find a body worker & space where I truly feel safe, cared for, and listened to. "

  • “When I first started working with Lindsey, I had just been diagnosed with Graves' disease, and I was simultaneously trying to perform within a racist professional environment as a Black and Brown woman. Every session with Lindsey opened with, "How are you, and how is your body feeling?" Unlike most, she really wanted an open and honest response to both questions. I had also never considered asking myself how my body was doing every day. Working with Lindsey, I had no idea that I could reclaim both my body and my spirit. I am now in remission, and I had the courage to leave a harmful workplace.”

    Lisa A.

  • "After hitting menopause, I knew I had to prioritize building and maintaining strength and Lindsey has made that feel possible AND enjoyable.”

    Kelley R.

  • Lindsey is a fantastic personal trainer. After two torn hamstrings and a desk job, I finally sought out personal training—and felt like an angel had lured Lindsey into our little village. She's skilled, curious, and responsive to whatever aches and limits present themselves. Lindsey meets you where you are but consistently pushes you forward. Most of my other personal training experiences felt like infomercials on physical optimization—gym rat aspirations I never had. Lindsey is different. She's sunny, smart, welcoming, reasonably priced, and game for whatever comes up."
